To maintain the appearance of a coating, we recommend regular and thorough cleaning followed by our maintenance product, Betonlook©cleaner. By following this advice, the life of a floor coating can be considerably extended.

1) Preventing dirt

The cleaning frequency and intensity is depending on (for a significant extent) the
degree of pollution within a given time. Dirt that doesn’t land on the surface can not
cause damage or contamination. This extends the lifetime and reduces the maintenance costs. Pollution of your floor can be reduced by for example foot mats.

The use of film forming maintenance products at electrically conductive and antistatic floor coating systems is not allowed. By using these products the properties of the coating system are being negatively affected. Cleaning and maintenance are only allowed with neutral to slightly alkaline cleaners (PH 9 – 10).

2) Regular cleaning, regular maintenance

The frequency of cleaning and quantity of soap depend on the regular action of dirt and the load of the floor and ranges from daily to weekly basis. Normally one capsule of soap to five litres cold water is enough. The regular cleaning is carried out with a mop. Mop the soap with cold water on to the floor. Then let it soak in for ten minutes. Afterwards clean the floor with cold water. To prevent dirt from spreading try to immediately remove loose dirt with a damp cloth. You can also use a swiffer. Do not use a machine or hard brushes.
